Technology, Control & Energy Advisory for Smarter Infrastructure.

TMX Advisory helps developers, property owners, businesses, and infrastructure stakeholders make better technical decisions across smart buildings, control systems, energy infrastructure, renewable energy, lighting design, and electric vehicle charging projects.

Our Three Advisory Pillars.

TMX Advisory works across three connected disciplines: technology, control, and energy. We bring together smart building technology, control systems, lighting design, audiovisual infrastructure, renewable energy, energy management, and electric vehicle charging advisory into one integrated approach — helping clients plan smarter buildings, reliable systems, efficient infrastructure, and future-ready projects before costly decisions are made.

Technology Advisory.

Guidance on smart tech
decisions for infrastructure
and deployment.

Energy & EV Infrastructure Advisory.

Expert direction for energy solutions and sustainable mobility projects.

Control & Automation Advisory.

Specialist advice on
control systems and
automation integration.

Independent technical clarity
before decisions become expensive.

Technology decisions are often made too late, too quickly, or by parties with conflicting commercial interests.
TMX Advisory helps clients understand what they actually need before procurement, construction, or implementation begins.

Independent
Perspective.

We help clients make
decisions based on project
needs, not vendor preference,
contractor convenience, or
unnecessary system complexity.

Early Risk Reduction.

Many technical problems
begin before installation, at
concept, design, or procurement
stage. TMX Advisory helps
identify risks before they
become expensive site issues.

Cross-Disciplinary Understanding.

Technology, electrical
systems, controls, lighting,
energy, audiovisual systems,
security, and user experience
are connected. We advise
with the full system in mind.

Implementation Awareness.

Good advice must survive
real-world installation, commissioning, operation, andmaintenance.
TMX Advisory combines strategic
thinking with implementation-level
awareness, helping clients avoid
decisions that look good on paper
but fail on site.

From execution to advisory.

TMX Advisory is the evolution of TM-Electronix, a technology-focused engineering business that designed, programmed, and commissioned smart building systems across residential and commercial projects.

2016

TM-Electronix

For years we worked hands-on — designing and programming automation systems, integrating AV, lighting, and control platforms, and commissioning projects from the ground up. That work gave us deep, practical knowledge of what works in the real world and what doesn't.

2021

TMX Advisory

Over time it became clear that the highest value wasn't in execution — it was in the early-stage decisions that shaped everything downstream. Too many projects suffered from poor planning, wrong technology choices, or lack of integration thinking at the design stage. TMX Advisory was created to solve that problem: independent, engineering-led advisory with no product bias and no contractor conflicts.

Independent Advisors.

Always on Your Side.

We are not contractors, installers, or product vendors.
TMX Advisory operates as an independent advisory and owner's engineering partner.

— Representing the client's interests at every stage, with no commercial ties to any supplier or system provider.

This independence is the foundation of the trust our clients place in us.

Michael Toumbas

Founder, TMX Advisory

Michael is a technology and energy systems engineer with a deep technical background spanning smart building design, embedded control systems, industrial automation, SCADA systems, and robotics and mechatronics. Having worked across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects — specifying and commissioning platforms including KNX, Loxone, Control4, and Crestron — he brings a rare combination of implementation-level technical knowledge and strategic advisory capability.

His expertise extends beyond building automation into renewable energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) design, energy storage (ESS and BESS), energy management systems (EMS), and the broader energy market. This cross-domain knowledge — from low-level control engineering through to high-level energy strategy — allows him to advise holistically across both the technology and energy dimensions of a project.

Based in Nicosia, Cyprus, Michael founded TMX Advisory to focus exclusively on what matters most: helping clients make the right decisions early — before costly mistakes are locked in.
